A groundbreaking partnership has been forged between Las Vegas Sands’ Macau-facing subsidiary, Sands China, and Guangdong-Macau Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park Development (GMTCM) to boost Big Health tourism in Macau and Hengqin. This collaboration aims to leverage Macau’s status as a leading tourism hub to promote health tourism initiatives.
Sands China Leading the Way in Health Tourism
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Cooperation Between Guangdong and Macau in Hengqin. Sands China has become the first concessionaire to join forces with GMTCM, marking a significant milestone in the development of health tourism in the region.
The partnership aims to foster cooperation between the two provinces, taking advantage of Macau’s unique position as a cultural crossroads between East and West. By attracting both international and domestic investments, Sands China and GMTCM aim to support local health businesses and integrate Big Health tourism into the local economy.
