Five Former Iowa State Football Staffers Disciplined by NCAA for Violating Insider Betting Rules

Despite their misconduct, the five staffers will not face criminal charges. Instead, they agreed to a negotiated resolution that includes a one-year show-cause order, effective until April 24, 2026. Additionally, they are required to attend the NCAA’s Regional Rules Seminar at their own expense and serve a two-week suspension during the show-cause period.
The names of the violators were provided to the NCAA by the local Department of Criminal Investigation. Furthermore, the NCAA uncovered several instances of underage and athlete wagering, resulting in additional charges and fines.

Dryer placed 1,182 bets amounting to $11,536. Their current professional positions range from assistant equipment manager to field sales professional at a sports equipment retailer.
