Entain plc Announces Departure of CEO Gavin Isaacs
Entain plc, a leading global sports betting and gaming group, and a FTSE100 company, recently made headlines with unexpected changes to its senior-level team. The company confirmed on Tuesday that the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Gavin Isaacs, is stepping down from his role.
Search for New CEO Begins Anew

Stella David, currently Entain’s non-executive Chair, will again assume the role of Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis until a permanent replacement has been found,” a statement from Entain reads.
Positive Outlook Amid Leadership Changes
Despite the recent market volatility that led to a decline in Entain’s stock value, the company and its subsidiary, BetMGM, remain optimistic about their performance in 2024. Stella David highlighted the company’s strong progress in achieving strategic goals and reaffirmed its 2024 guidance figures.
The Board of Directors at Entain expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance in 2024 and the positive trading momentum at the beginning of 2025. David announced that the Group EBITDA for FY2024 is expected to be at the top end of the guidance range.
David expressed gratitude to Isaacs for his contributions and leadership during his tenure.
